Label TextGudea’s statues were typically found headless decapitated and defaced. This head, which was also recovered at Tello, did not join any of the excavated, headless statues. The fur of the decorated cap appears as stylized circular curls in a grid pattern. The feather-shaped eyebrows meet at the ridge of his nose.
