DescriptionThis could be a lamp from Beit Nattif. Fourth century CE date suggested for this lamp. Rosenthal and Sivan 1978:103 #418. On rim raised double ridge forming a demi-lune on either side of shoulder. Raised diamond within diamond pattern on nozzle with a raised circle and center dot on each side. Six circles also outline the demi-lunes, the circle design is broken by the ridge surrounding the large filling hole. The nozzle is bow shaped, and the spout is soot-stained. There is a pyramidal knob handle which is formed from two diamond shaped halves.

The base has a double edged raised ring and the nozzle base is also delineated. There is also a palm frond that runs from the base ring to the ridge to the edge of the nozzle.
